We are so excited that you have decided to join us at Hillside in September!
We hope the information that is on this page will help you and your child to get to know the staff, provide you with what you need to know about Hillside and most importantly help your child to start to feel excited about coming to school/Nursery.

Week Beginning 21.6.21
Welcome letter sent out to all families
This letter will contain details on how to join class dojo which is a system that we use to share information with our families. We will then be able to connect you to your child’s class and share transition information and activities with you.
Week Beginning 28.6.21
Book a visit to meet us
During this week you will be invited to sign up for time to visit us so that you can meet us and see our setting.
Information packs sent out to all families
These packs will contain all the paperwork that you need as well as a booklet that will tell you all about life at Hillside. During this week you will also receive a link to connect to your child’s class via Dojo.
July 6th and 7th 2021
Visits to Foundation (Nursery and FS2)
Due to Coronavirus these visits will be in 15 minute slots with up to a maximum of 5 people in each slot and will provide you with the opportunity to see our classroom environments and meet the staff that will be working with your children. We ask that only one member of each family attends (you are more than welcome to take pictures of the environment).
Weeks beginning 12.7.21 and 19.7.21
Transition Information and Activities
During these weeks count down to starting FS1 and FS2 activities will be posted on dojo and reminders of key information
26.7.21 (9.30-11.00am)- These events will depend on current restrictions in schools and will only go ahead if current restrictions are lifted on 19th July
All Change Morning
An opportunity for the children going through to FS2 to visit their new classroom and teacher.
Nursery Outdoor Stay and Play
An opportunity for the children joining Nursery to visit their new teacher and for you to ask any questions that you may have.
