The school uniform colours are Royal Blue and Gold. 

We are proud to offer a range of branded school uniform items for families who wish to purchase them. However, we also recognise that many families are facing increased financial pressures, and we are committed to keeping our uniform policy as affordable and inclusive as possible.

For this reason, children are welcome to wear non-branded uniform items, provided they are in the correct school colours and meet our uniform guidelines. Supermarket and high-street alternatives are perfectly acceptable and will help ensure that every child feels part of our school community without placing unnecessary financial burden on families.

Children are encouraged to wear uniform, (branded or not) to create a sense of identity and shared pride. You can see in some of our photos on the website that we have a mix of branded and non-branded uniform wearers, and just by wearing our colours all our children feel part of our Hillside Community.

Please ensure all clothing is marked with your child’s name.

All items are available with the school logo embroidered on them should you wish to have this.

Footwear:

• Suitable, sensible, plain black shoes for boys and girls
• Fashion shoes such as trainers and footwear with flashing lights, flimsy, high heeled, backless sandals are not allowed for safety reasons.

PE Kit (children start PE classes in Year 1):

Please note that children wear their PE kit to school on their allocated PE days – they do not change at school. 

• Gold t-shirt with Hillside Logo or as close a match as possible
• Royal blue or black appropriate length shorts
• Black jogging bottoms/leggings
• Royal blue hoodie with Hillside Logo if a hoody is required - no alternatives accepted and you do not need to purchase a hoody if you do not wish to
• Black plimsolls or plain black trainers for outdoor sport

Jewellery:

We have a policy of no jewellery in school except for a watch and one pair of stud earrings. These must be removed or covered with tape for P.E.
